Gina's Restaurant
A family trattoria serving handmade pasta, slow-cooked classics, and a warm corner of Italy in the heart of Soho — just as we have since 1952.

Our Story
It began with Giuseppe. After the Second World War he left his village in Italy and made the long journey to London, carrying little more than a battered suitcase and his mother's handwritten recipes — pages soft with flour and folded a hundred times. In 1952 he opened a little trattoria on Frith Street, and cooked the food he grew up on for a city learning to love it.
Four generations later, the kitchen still runs on those same pages. Gina — Giuseppe's great-granddaughter and the owner today — rolls the pasta by hand each morning, just as he did. Nothing here is rushed and nothing is for show; we cook the way we always have, for family, and we're glad you're part of ours.
“The closest thing to a Sunday lunch in Naples I've found in London. We've been coming for years.”
